After 2 very successful years of the Guerilla Film Festival, we are already in our third season -yay us! Last year the energy was at an all time high, with a lineup out the door, and every table packed over two hours before the show even began! The films were amazing, lots of good people, and of course the Shelter had amazing food and drink specials.
So this year will run a similar course... Although last year we accepted some more "risque" films, considering there were no youths involved, but this year we'd like to get some of the high school students to submit their creative visions, so please, keep your movies clean!
That being said, the theme is up to you, and you can have as many or as few people involved as you like. We just request that you please watch your language, and avoid excessive violent and gratuitous content.
Your film should be:
- 3-5 minutes in length
- clean!
- fully edited, burned to disc, and useable in a DVD player (please test before submitting)
- fun! Have a good time with it!

So if you have an idea for a film, but aren't really sure how to go about making one, you can find some tips and hints by clicking on the "2008" link in the Archive (up on the right), then click on "September" and go to "Help, I don't know how to make a film!"
Remember, you don't necessarily need to have a camcorder to make a film... you can record using a regular digital camera with movie mode, a webcam, or even a stop-motion film using photographs.
There are also lots of talented and knowledgeable people in Tofino, so if you need help, just ask around. Somebody will be eager to help! You can also email us... we'd be happy to offer you any suggestions we can.
